I hope this message finds you well. We want to take a moment to reflect on the fantastic week we’ve just had at Moncton High. From classroom achievements to the energized spirit assembly, it has truly been a great week filled with enthusiasm and pride.

FOR THE GRADE 9’S

Wednesday November 5th is Take Our Kids To Work Day 2025.  Moncton High School students are encouraged to participate in this event by attending the place of employment with a parent/guardian or person over the age of 18 for the day OR by participating in the virtual options.

Take Our Kids to Work, a landmark Canadian program dedicated to inspiring the next generation of leaders. For its 31st edition, the event continues to evolve, with new opportunities for both in-person and virtual career exploration.

This year’s theme, Lift Up the Future, is a call to support young people as they explore their paths and imagine the world they want to build.

There are no scheduled classes for Grade 9 students on November 5th.  More information will be sent home over the next couple weeks regarding this event.  Students can be planning their placement options in the meantime with family and friends.

FOR GRADES 10-12,

We are fortunate to be hosting an exciting event on Wednesday November 5th for all students in Grade s 10-12 called the Future Pathways Expo!

What is the Future Pathways Expo?

The Future Pathways Expo is an event designed to showcase the diverse post-secondary options and major industries across New Brunswick, helping students discover exciting career and post-secondary opportunities.

Students will be rotating amongst various booths set up in the gymnasium where they will have an opportunity to learn about a broad range of pathways in post-secondary education and exciting career opportunities. They will also be pre-registering for breakout sessions of their choice, for a more in-depth explanation of their possible post-secondary or career options.

A key element of the Future Pathways Expo is that students will be working through a new graduation requirement – the Career Life Plan.

What is the Career Life Plan?

The Career Life Plan helps students prepare for life after high school by encouraging them to explore their interests, set goals, and make informed decisions about their future. It is completed over time with the support of teachers, school staff, and families.  It is a requirement for Graduation beginning in June 2026.

Have a great week.

Go Jays, Want it all.
