We hope everyone is enjoying the final days of summer. We are excited to welcome students and families back for the 2026-2027 school year.
Please note that the first day of school for all Grade 9, 10, 11, and 12 students is Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The school day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students arrive on time and are prepared for a successful start to the year.
What to Bring on the First Day
Students should bring:
- Pens and pencils
- Paper
- A binder
- Lunch
Teachers will provide information about any additional course-specific materials during the first few days of classes.
To support learning throughout the year, students are encouraged to bring a personal electronic device suitable for schoolwork, such as a laptop or tablet.

Course Changes and Adjustments
Course changes may be made only if they relate to a graduation requirement, as most classes are full. Grade 12 students will get priority. The process for course adjustments will be outlined when school begins.
Transportation Information
Students eligible for district transportation can access their bus information through the Transportation Portal. Families are encouraged to verify transportation details before the start of the school year.
Please note that transportation information for the 2026-2027 school year is expected to be available after August 31, 2026. Families should check the Transportation Portal after that date to view bus assignments, stop locations, and pickup and drop-off times.

PowerSchool Information
Students and parents can access attendance records, grades, and schedules through the PowerSchool Portal when school begins.
Please note:
- Student schedules will be available through the PowerSchool Portal before the start of school and are subject to change.
- We are still working to balance some class sizes, and schedule changes may occur prior to September 8.
- Updated schedules will be available for students when they arrive at school.
Students who attended an Anglophone East school last year should already have received PowerSchool access information. Families who have not yet created an account, or who wish to access an existing account, can find additional information here:

Locker Information
- Locks may be purchased through SchoolCash Online for $10.00 starting August 31st.
- Once purchased, the lock is yours to keep throughout your time at Moncton High School.
- Returning students may reuse their lock from last year or choose to purchase a new lock if needed.
School Fees, Forms, and Lunch Program Information
- All school fees and required forms will be completed through SchoolCash Online.
- Families are encouraged to sign in or create an account before the start of the school year.
- We are awaiting additional information regarding the Provincial School Food Program for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Details about the lunch program will be shared with families as soon as information becomes available.

Attendance and SafeArrival
If a student will be absent from school for any reason, families are asked to report the absence using SafeArrival.

Attendance Matters
At Moncton High School, regular attendance is a key priority. Being at school every day and arriving on time are important factors in student success.
Students are expected to attend all classes regularly and arrive on time. Failure to attend school consistently or to begin the school year as scheduled may result in timetable adjustments or the removal of courses to accommodate other students who require placement.
If attendance concerns arise, we encourage students and families to communicate with the school so that we can provide support and help students stay on track for success.
Student Drop-Off, Pick-Up, and Parking
If you are dropping off or picking up your child, please follow all posted traffic signs and school traffic procedures to help ensure the safety of students, staff, and families.
- Please do not stop, park, or leave your vehicle in any fire lane or emergency access lane. These areas must always remain clear to ensure emergency vehicles can access the school if needed.
- Students driving to school must park only in designated student parking areas.

Communication with Families
If you know of any friends or neighbours who have students attending Moncton High School and are not receiving school emails, please encourage them to check their spam or junk mail folder. School information is sent regularly by email, and ensuring messages are not being filtered can help families stay informed throughout the school year.
