Chartwells Eat Well Program

Beginning September 8, 2026, all students attending New Brunswick public schools will have access to affordable, balanced and nutritious lunches every school day.

A regular option and a vegetarian option will be offered each day.  Milk will be included with every lunch. Lunches will be available to all students, but families are not required to order them.

Participating families will pay:

  • $4 per lunch for students in kindergarten to Grade 8;
  • $5 per lunch for students in Grades 9 to 12.

The province will subsidize the remaining cost of each lunch.

If the cost of school lunches is a barrier for your family, the school will provide the relevant information on how to access a full subsidy. All requests will be handled confidentially. You can apply for a full subsidy by accessing the form.

Please note, orders must be made by 8:00AM of the school day prior to your planned lunch to allow staff to properly prepare. This means:
  •    Orders for Monday must be placed by Friday at 8:00AM

   Orders for Tuesday must be placed by Monday at 8:00AM
   Orders for Wednesday must be placed by Tuesday at 8:00AM
   Orders for Thursday must be place by Wednesday at 8:00AM
   Orders for Friday must be placed by Thursday at 8:00AM

When PL days or holidays occur, always remember that orders must be placed by 8:00AM of the school day prior to your planned lunch.

Where possible, we recommend ordering your lunches in advance, as the ordering platform will allow you to purchase for a whole month in advance. Subsidy codes are only valid through the online ordering platform and cannot be honoured at the cafeteria cash register.
